These gorgeous berries are some of my favourite flavours in folk medicine. Packed with goodness that supports heart health, lungs, diabetes, throat, immunity and skin. We all need to have a bottle of elderberry tonic in the cupboard especially for the long winters or when we suffer a compromised immunity through lifes challenges.

We have planted some of these as part of the medicinal crop system at 42 Acres, they're just coming into fruit now and I hope we can plant many many more, I love them and the hedging they create provides wonderful habitat for birds. We also don't mind sharing some of the berries with the wild life! We do pick some from the land AND wild, but in the spirit of transparency we do also buy some organic elderberries to keep us going all year round and support us financially  to have money to plant more trees and continue tending and homing wild bees.

Honey:

Our Honey is from a Shapwick Nature Reserve and other Local beekeepers in Somerset and is the best honey we can get our hands on. We work with other small-scale nature-minded producers so we can support each other in our work.
